The Netball NSW Annual General Meeting (AGM) held on Saturday 15th March 2025 saw the re-election of Deputy Chairperson, Claire Tynan and Director, Chris Lamb to the Netball NSW Board of Directors. Claire and Chris were both elected by the membership for additional three-year terms to conclude at the 2028 AGM.
President & Chairperson, Sallianne Faulkner congratulated Claire and Chris on their re-election:
"It is fantastic to have Chris and Claire's skills and experience on the Board for another three years as we look ahead to the 2027 Netball World Cup and continue to grow netball in NSW.
I would also like to thank our members for their engagement and support of the Netball NSW Board at the AGM and Council Meeting on Saturday."
Claire has been an elected member of the Board since 2018 and brings experience across brand marketing, business development, tech and data and commercial business background. Claire is the current Deputy Chairperson of Netball NSW.
Chris joined the Board in mid-2021, and has extensive experience in human resources, business development, legal and governance, as well as expertise across government. Chris is also the Chair of the Netball NSW People & Culture Committee.
Both Claire and Chris are passionate supporters of netball in NSW from grassroots through to our elite Suncorp Super Netball Teams.
Netball NSW is also delighted to announce that following the AGM, the Board of Directors resolved to re-elect Sallianne Faulkner as the President and Chairperson of Netball NSW for a further two years.
Elected as President in 2023, a former President of Ramsgate Netball Club, Sallianne Faulkner also served as Vice President of the St George District Cricket Club and is the current President of the Ramsgate RSL Memorial Club as well as the General Manager of the Bayside Women’s Shelter.
Reflecting at the AGM on the past year and looking ahead to 2025, Sallianne said:
“It is always an honour to serve our netball community, but this past 12 months have been particularly special.
We completed the season with the greatest number of participation registrations in Netball NSW’s long and proud history. This is a wonderful achievement that should be celebrated and treasured by everyone involved in the sport and we are very conscious that this is a result of amazing volunteer support, delivered both now and from a long legacy and love of our game.
As we look to the future, 2025 will be another busy and bustling year for netball in NSW, and we will remain focused on delivering the best outcomes for all involved.”
