Walking Netball is an initiative brought to you by Netball NSW partnered with the NSW Department of Family and Community Services. Everyone is welcome to enjoy Walking Netball regardless of physical fitness, age or previous netball experience.
Walking Netball is also a fabulous opportunity to develop team spirit and encourages social interaction – it’s a great way to make friends or even spend time with old friends on a regular basis.
This version of Walking Netball is designed to be a health and wellbeing program catering to all fitness levels. The program brings together a variety of low-intensity cardio, strength, balance, stretching, coordination workouts, and a range of fun netball drills with a Walking Netball game to finish off the session. Each session lasts around 60 minutes. These classes are designed for individual registrations, so don’t worry about finding a team.
You can also participate in Walking Netball in a social competition format with no regular fixtures, scoring or ladder. Players turn up on the day and play Walking Netball. This is a fun, social game played with friends with a focus on health and fitness. This competition is designed for individual registrations, so don’t worry about finding a team.
This format of Walking Netball is designed for you to register a team into a competition that will have a regular fixture, scores and ladder. Just choose a competition that suits your schedule, and follow the prompts to register. You can create a team, sign up to an existing team, or register as an individual to be allocated to a team.
