The Hunter HART Regional League competition has been a showcase of the best players, coaches and umpires coming together from throughout the region to represent their Associations.
With 18 teams graded across four Divisions, we have seen some exciting and tough games played by 173 athletes during our Rounds and Finals at the Maitland Basketball Stadium.
Sixteen teams from across the Hunter region earnt their places to contest in the finals series on Sunday 28th March across all four Divisions.
Congratulations to the following teams:
Division 1
Winners - Newcastle Opens, undefeated throughout the entire competition winning the Grand Final game 55 to 26 against Runners Up Wyong Opens.
Division 2
Winners – Callaghan Opens, undefeated throughout the entire competition winning the Grand Final game 52 to 40 against Runners Up Charlestown 17’s.
Division 3
Winners – Lakeside 17’s, undefeated throughout the entire competition winning the Grand Final game 46 to 27 against Runners Up Westlakes 17’s.
Division 4
Winners – Muswellbrook 17’s, winning the Grand Final game 44 to 35 against Runners Up Woy Woy Peninsula 17’s.
Thank you to everyone involved, with special thanks to our Umpire Regional Allocations Team lead by Monique Smith who have organised and mentored our Team White for the duration of the competition, Kirsty Fuller for mentoring our Coaches and Sam Rumbel for organising and looking after our Regional State Cup selectors and eligible players for selection.
The Hunter Regional State Cup team selected during our HART Regional League competition will be announced in July along with the Hunter Regional State Cup umpire, also selected during the competition.
