Netball NSW would like to congratulate the Coach and Performance staff who have been appointed to lead the NSW State Teams, the Metro and Regional Emerging Teams and the Sydney Netball Academy in 2022.
Jen Wright (Eastwood Ryde) and Amber Cross (Wyong District) return as State Team Head Coaches hoping that 2022 will be the year they will they take to the court in Hobart with COVID-19 leading to the cancellation of the last two National Nebtall Championships.
Former Premiership-winning Swift Nardia Macdonald (Baulkham Hills Shire) will lead the Metro Emerging Team with Mardi Aplin (Orange) newly appointed as Head Coach of the Regional Emerging Team.
In Sydney Netball Academy, Steph Harrison (Camden & Districts) will step up in 2022 to lead a team of four coaches including former Swift Samantha May (Baulkham Hills Shire) who has recently returned after finishing a successful playing career in England.
Effective selection is a vital first step in creating a winning culture, and Netball NSW is extremely proud to have three of the best as lead selectors in 2022. Premiership-winning former Swifts Assistant Coach Anita Keelan (Eastwood-Ryde), Maria Lynch (Sutherland), and Pate Cooper (Penrith District) will lead the selection panels.
