With just over two weeks to go until the first whistle blows at the 2022 National Netball Championships in Hobart, Netball NSW is delighted to announce the Leadership Groups for the NSW 19U and 17U Teams.
Leading the NSW 19s in 2022 is Manly Warringah and NSW Swifts Training Partner Audrey Little with fellow Swifts Training Partner Sophie Fawns and GIANTS Academy player Charli Fidler named as vice-captains.
St George and GIANTS Academy athlete Monika ‘Otai will lead the NSW 17U Team with QBE Swifts Academy products Grace Whyte and Eugenie Little (sister of Audrey) serving as vice-captains.
"Throughout the campaign, 17U Head Coach Amber Cross and 19U Head Coach Jen Wright have been impressed with the commitment to growth and buy in to the Waratah culture of every team member," Margaret Hamley, General Manager of Performance & Pathways at Netball NSW, said.
"At last weekend’s session the Netball NSW State Teams Leadership Team was announced.
"Each of these athletes have confidently displayed their abilities to be themselves as leaders and work to their strengths and, much as everyone is a leader when they pull on the Waratah dress, it is an enormous honour to be named in the Leadership Team.
"Netball NSW congratulates and wishes them the best of luck."
