Netball NSW is proud to stand alongside the LGBTIQA+ community as we celebrate Pride Month and the power of inclusion, visibility, and connection in sport.
Join us for Round 13 on Wednesday 4 June at Netball Central as we mark this special occasion with a celebration of community, self-expression and pride — both on and off the court. The venue will come alive with vibrant Pride-themed decorations, colourful giveaways, and a shared spirit of belonging.
A highlight of the round will be the Experience Room – a dedicated space for players, officials, and spectators to connect, reflect, and celebrate Pride in their own way. Whether it’s learning, listening, or simply taking a moment to soak it all in, the room offers an inclusive and welcoming environment for everyone.
Around the venue, rainbow seat covers and themed signage help bring the celebration to life, creating a space where everyone can feel seen and supported.
Educational posters created in collaboration with Proud2Play are also on display, offering insights and resources to help foster greater understanding of what Pride means in sport. These materials aim to spark conversations and inspire action toward creating more inclusive spaces for all. To access Netball NSW's Pride Round Handbook Click Here
June is a time to celebrate diversity, promote inclusion, and show up proudly. We invite our entire netball community to come together in support, celebration and unity — because sport is better when everyone belongs.
"Inclusion is at the heart of community netball. Pride Round is more than a celebration; it's a commitment to creating netball spaces that truly welcome and value our LGBTQIA+ community, not just for one round, but every day of the year." — Trish Crews, EGM Communities, Netball NSW
