With only two rounds left and the finals series fast approaching, we delved in to the DOOLEYS Metro League Competition to see who is likely to be in that final four in a few weeks time.
In Division 3, Camden & District are sitting just one win ahead of St George District and Baulkham Hills Shire. St George District will come up against Baulkham Hills Shire and Camden & District in the final two rounds before finals series. These match-ups are not to be missed with St George District leading the tally of goals scored for the season by more than 40.
In Division 4, the top 3 teams are edging away from the rest of the pack. Hills District, Bankstown City, Inner West and Illawarra District sit on 16 points in equal fourth, separated only by goal percentage. These four teams are all vying for that final spot in finals and these next two rounds will be their determining factor.
In Division 5, although Campbelltown District are sitting first on 28 points, the competition is tight, Northern Suburbs sitting in eighth place only going down by one goal in their match-up this week. Blacktown City currently sit in fifth place and have two must win matches ahead of them for a chance to be in finals.
In Division 6, the top four is locked and loaded. Sutherland Shire are the team to beat with only one loss and one draw to their name. Randwick or Ku-ring-gai look likely to come up against them in finals and have the potential to go one better, Randwick taking the draw and Ku-ring-gai the win in previous matches.
In Division 1, Hills District are in the clear with their win last night solidifying them in first place before the rounds are complete. The next two weeks are crucial for Northern Suburbs, Ku-ring-gai, Eastwood Ryde and Baulkham Hills in order to take a place in the finals series for Division 1.
In Division 2, Liverpool City and Northern Suburbs are all tied up in first place with Hawkesbury City and Randwick following close behind rounding out the top four ahead of the finals series. The competition is tight with three matches being decided by 3 goals or less in last nights match-ups.
