NSW COVID-19 Exposure Sites & Action Required
On Wednesday 9 June NSW Health announced a number of COVID-19 exposure sites in regional NSW – click here for full details of the venues, dates and times of concern. This list may grow as details emerge and we urge Associations in particular to stay alert to any announcements from NSW Health over coming days.
In order for the 2021 HART Senior State Titles to proceed without incident it is absolutely imperative that any person planning on being on-site at either Liverpool or Bankstown Netball Associations this weekend has checked the exposure sites and adhered in full to any NSW Health directions.
These directions may include requiring to be tested for COVID-19 and isolating until a negative test is returned, or longer if necessary if directed by NSW Health. In addition, NSW Health have specific requirements for any person who has recently been in Victoria which can be viewed here.
As we know, COVID-19 sadly forced the cancellation of the 2020 HART Senior State Titles. We urge all people (players, umpires, coaches, managers, officials, volunteers, parents, friends etc) planning to attend the State Titles to not be complacent and not risk the well-being of others, or the State Titles as a whole, by ignoring the advice or not following it as prescribed. This development may cause an inconvenience for certain individuals or teams planning to attend, but adhering to the NSW Health guidance is of utmost importance to the event continuing.
COVID-19 Reminders for Attending HART Senior State Titles
The information released by NSW Health on Wednesday 9 June once again reminds us that we remain in the middle of a Global Pandemic and we must continue to be mindful and follow the Health Orders. HART Senior State Titles fall in to the category of a non-controlled outdoor public gathering where a 5,000 person limit applies to all outdoor community sporting venues.
Due to these restrictions, Netball NSW has set attendance limits for Liverpool and Bankstown this weekend and will require all non-players in attendance (aged 6 years or over) to be wearing a wristband for the allocated day at all times. Wristbands will be provided to team managers each morning. All attendees MUST also check-in to the venue using the QR code which will be displayed, and also available with all team managers. These requirements are part of the Netball NSW COVID Safety plan for the event. Anyone not adhering to the requirements will be asked to leave the venue.
Netball NSW sincerely hopes that this latest issue does not impact on the HART Senior State Titles at all. We ask for the full co-operation of all people planning to attend, whether that relate directly to the exposure sites or to the general requirements relating to attendance limits and QR codes. Thank you in advance and we look forward to an enjoyable weekend.
