Over the weekend Hastings Valley Netball Association played host to the Bing Lee Regional League competition for the North Coast Region. In a shortened competition format for 2020 due to Covid-19 and the first scheduled day being washed out a fortnight ago, the event saw mixed weather conditions with rain, wind and sunshine over the single day of competition.
The Division 4 Grand Final saw Coffs Harbour 14s defeated by Nambucca Valley 14s 29-22, with Nambucca Valley also taking out the Division 3 competition with their 15s side taking the win against Woolgoolga 15s 26-20.
Division 2 saw Great Lakes 17s come up against the Macleay 17s, and even though Macleay got the win earlier in the day it was Great Lakes who brought it home where it counts, claiming the title 9-14.
In Division 1, host association Hastings Valley 17s defeated Great Lakes Opens in a Grand Final that came down to the wire with a final score of 28-25.
Overall, there were many down-to-the-wire games which displayed the athleticism and sportsmanship true to the North Coast region with a huge congratulations to all who were involved with the event.
