Netball NSW is seeking expressions of interest from suitably qualified candidates wishing to contribute to the growth and success of Netball in NSW in the capacity of Member Representative of the Netball NSW Nominations Committee.
The Member Representative of the Nominations Committee is a role established in accordance with Clause 14.5 of the Netball NSW Constitution and Clause 2.1 Terms of Reference – Nominations Committee.
This role is responsible for working with other members of the Nominations Committee to identify candidates to fill Director vacancies and assess all nominations for Director vacancies.
Key Responsibilities of the Member Representative include:
- Supporting the consideration and selection of suitable candidates for appointment or election to vacancies on the Board of Netball NSW.
- Review Director’s existing skill sets and determined the preferred skill requirements for upcoming Director terms;
- Develop and implement a pre nomination process to identify and/or interview potential Directors;
- Provide guidance to the membership on the skills match of those people nominated for Elected Director positions compared with the current requirements of the Board;
- Make recommendations to the Board for the appointment of Appointed Directors;
- Review Board succession plans.
- Performing functions assigned to the Nominations Committee by the Netball NSW Board as required from time-to-time.
- Have regard to the Netball NSW Constitution and Nominations Committee Terms of Reference.
